200 million years ago dinosaurs fell extinct from eating small poisonous hairless monkeys…

Ethan in the belly of the beastSo we finally made it to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur museum up near Lehi, UT. Ethan ran around like a mad monkey per his usual meth n’ coke tonic. He’s all the exercise any adult ever needs (well at least that’s what I keep telling myself). The museum really is a great place and I feel bad we couldn’t take more pictures – our memory card was full and there wasn’t much we wanted to delete. Next time we’ll get some more exciting pictures.
(by the way click the picture to see what photos we did take).

The museum is quite large with an extensive array of dinosaur fossils, skeletons and life-like-reptilian-reproductions. It would be best if you could dedicated an entire afternoon to really tour this museum end-to-end. As well as the museum they have a handy dandy IMAX theater right there as well for your viewing pleassure. We watched the IMAX film about caves narrated by Qui-Gon aka Darkman aka Liam Neeson. Why is Mr. Neeson’s voice so relaxing and Tom Cruise’s voice so annoying? To the IMAX directors/owners: never use Tom Cruise again for narration. Never Ever. (remember how annoying Tom sounds while narrating the IMAX space station film?). Liam Yes. Tom NO.
We ended up being there for almost 2hours or so – that was Ethan’s limit and for the rest of us as well.
So if you are in Lehi, Utah and you are looking for something interesting to do…go check out the Flour Mills made famous by the classic movie “Footloose”.

Oooh, i’ve been wanting to check this out. I’m just finishing up an evolution course at BYU and i’m on my whole evolution kick right now… Definately will be something that’ll take up some time when class is out.

It is really an excellent museum – there were whole sections we rushed through just to catch Ethan – so we missed a few really excellent looking parts to the tour. We’re definitely goning back again. Bring your camera.
